Microshading

What is 3D Microshading with color nano infusion for the eyebrows, eyeliner and lips? They are the most exciting new semipermanent makeup procedures in Atlanta.

Tell us about yourself and your experience? I’m a licensed permanent makeup artist and medical aesthetician. I have always been passionate about helping people to look and feel more beautiful. I have worked with dermatologists and plastic surgeons most of my adult life. In fact, when I’m not helping my clients become more beautiful, I enjoy traveling the world to take advanced pmu courses from the most highly-regarded industry experts. My life’s mission is to master my art to ensure the application my clients receive is the latest and most advanced.

How is 3D Microshading is different from traditional permanent makeup methods and microblading? And why is it so popular in Europe now? Between the gentle nature of this technique being applied with finest nano-needle on earth and the high-quality of the pigments I use, the integrity of the skin is not damaged. There are no unnatural colors left behind and the pigment completely dissipates from your skin within 1-2 years. After the procedure is complete your eyebrows will appear fuller, perfectly shaped and natural. Because they are healthier for the skin and there is no long-term commitment, these exciting new nano-infusion methods are permanently replacing microblading and the old pmu procedures.

How long does it last? 1-2 years, depending on your age, skin type and skin care. Generally, the pigments last longer on clients with mature, dry skin.

How often are touch-ups needed? Once every 1-2 years as the color fades, that’s if you want to keep your brows, otherwise the color will completely fade.

The cost? Eyebrow procedures are generally range in the $500’s including one touch up. Lip shading can be more expensive as it requires more time.

Why are follow-ups required? As your skin heals there may be some minor imperfections in the shade of the color and the shape of your brow. Therefore, 4-6 weeks following the procedure, you will need to return for a simple follow-up. This allows me to fine-tune the darkness, shape and the shade of your beautiful new eyebrows!

The difference between microblading and microshading? Microshading is far less invasive than microblading and therefore leaves no scar tissue which can be problematic in the future. Microshading is performed with a tiny needle which infuses pigment to your skin, which is very gentle making the application far more superficial and less painful than microblading. Consider this, the nano-needle used in microshading simply vibrates along the upper layer of your skin leaving a small but highly-effective imprint. Once healed, the imprint looks like powder. Which is why many refer to this phenomenal procedure as “powder brows”. And since the application needle is so fine, you may have microshading done every year and never be concerned about scar tissue around your eyebrow.

Can clients with problematic skin types have microshading? Clients with any skin type: dry, normal, very oily or even clients with rosacea can have microshading done and have gorgeous results.

How does the color fade? Does it change? If the procedure is done correctly, meaning your artist did not apply color too deep and chose the correct color for your skin type, it will fade into lighter shades of the same color leaving nothing after 1-2 years.

How do you find a good pmu artist? Examine their work carefully! Look for before and after images with videos of their clients describing their own experience. Ask any artists you are considering for their healed pictures, as they will reveal the actual work. Almost all permanent makeup and microblading appears perfect immediately following procedure. But it is only after the healing process has occurred that you can actually verify if the procedure was successful! So, demand up-close in focus healed pictures of their work with no image enhancement filters or Photoshop! Preferably full face so you can see the symmetry. Please be careful – after all, this is your face we are talking about!
